Papers of Samuel P. Sadtler

1 item

Samuel P. Sadtler was an early American chemist and the first president of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He taught for years at the University of Pennsylvania, but as a leading expert in chemical engineering, his services as a consultant were in high demand. The collection is fragmentary, but includes several items of interest including an 1870 notebook containing "A Chemical Study of Petroleum." Only a small portion of the collection has been digitized.
