Georg additionally mentions antisemitic regulations pertaining to a "Sperrkonto" (blocked account). The Third Reich forced emigrating Jews to deposit their assets into such accounts, which were then devalued to 1/5 of their original amount. The "Sperrkonto" (blocked account), as well as the "Reichfluchtsteuer" (Reich Flight Tax), were intended to divest German Jews of their financial security.
