Lieber, sehr verehrter Herr Professor Bredig,
in alter Ergebenheit
Ihr Alfred Reis

Dear Professor Bredig,
It was a pleasure to meet with your daughter and her relatives and to experience the fruition of our departure preparations after such a long period of unease. We are now waiting for the approval of the Portuguese transit visa. If all goes well, we hope to arrive in New York in July.
With regards to work, I have many projects in mind, some of which I hope to begin as soon as possible. I look forward to telling you about my plans and hearing your advice.
Best regards and best wishes for the safe arrival of your daughter and her family.
Sincerely,
Alfred Reis
