Lieber Max Albert!
Herzl. Grüsse auch für Dich

Dear Max Albert,
At your request, I have just inquired at the Central Welfare Office of the Reich Representation of German Jews and received the following information:
A legal regulation for Christians or non-Aryans who no longer belong to Judaism does not seem to be in place yet. Thus far, no active or passive financial obligations to the Winter Relief Fund exist for these groups. If your father wants to make donations, he should contact the Israeli Welfare Association, Karlsruhe, Kronenstrasse 15. You can simply send your donations to the Jewish Community, Berlin C2, Checking Account Berlin 93446 (Jewish Winter Relief Fund of the Berlin Jewish Community). You and your father are asked to explain your special situation so that the relevant authorities know. You both will not be added to any religious community’s member registry.
I will soon send you this letter in duplicate so that you can send the original letter to your father, if necessary. In any case, please give him my best regards.
Warm regards to you too!
