Arrhenius explains that a vote took place which caused Axel Klinckowström (1867-1936) and Grönberg to resign from an office. The positions they resigned from are not clear from the letter.

Lieber Freund Bredig,
[hole punch]. Es geht uns (incl. Ekholm, Aron, Lageman u.sw.) sehr gut. Herzl. Grüsse Svante

My dear friend Bredig,
I received a card from Jahn, in which he expresses thanks for your paper. As it is the same one, it doesn’t have to be returned. Many thanks as well for your paper, which I referenced last semester at the Physics Society. Yesterday, Strindberg travelled to Paris to practice aviation and test some instruments. Andrée and I plan to go to Spitzbergen in early June and return at the end of August. The day before yesterday, we gave Klinckowström and Grönberg a vote of no confidence (23 votes to 10), causing them to leave office. There were many speeches and quite the stir! Roszkowski set the ball rolling. He will give you the details. We three and the others enjoyed your play Venus of Amylo. Thank you for sharing this! Today, the other two (at this moment) are eating pork and peas, while I'm going straight to Klason's for lunch. Recknes had a son. At first his wife was very ill, but she and the baby are now very healthy. B. received a small prize and [hole punch]. We (including Ekholm, Aron, Lageman and the others) are doing well. Best regards, Svante
