Wheatstone bridge electrical circuits provide extremely accurate measurements of resistance by comparing known resistance values with the unknown resistance of one leg of the circuit. Arnold Beckman incorporated Wheatstone bridge circuits in his early pH meters.
In 1965, Beckman Instruments acquired Industrial Instruments, Inc. The Cedar Grove, New Jersey-based company manufactured solution conductivity analyzers and other industrial instruments. The photo probably dates to a time around the acquisition.
