Thank you letter from Hermann Staudinger (1881-1965) to Georg Bredig (1868-1944). Staudinger was an organic chemist and Nobel Prize winner. He received the 1953 Nobel Prize in chemistry for his discoveries in the field of macromolecular chemistry. He demonstrated the existence of macromolecules known today as polymers. The result was the basis for the development of synthetic materials like plastics.
