Its products were first introduced into the United States in 1871 by William Pickhardt (d. 1894) & Adolf Kuttroff (1846-1936), German-American pioneers in the dyestuffs industry. Theirs was the first attempt to import chemically produced dyestuffs.
This publication's first portion describes the German company's various dye products and manufacturing processes. The second part of the work details "the various arrangements long since made for the general welfare of its employees," namely employee benefits and services. The work is illustrated with black and white photographic prints and digitized in its entirety.
