This collection consists of a small selection of materials from the papers of Dow Chemical Company founder Herbert Henry Dow (1866-1930). Items of note include correspondence with Herbert H. Dow's father, Joseph Henry Dow (1836-1901), concerning the founding and early growth of the Dow Chemical Company, as well as press clippings and a 1915 company stock certificate. In addition, a letter copying book containing Herbert H. Dow's accounting reports and business correspondence between 1891 and 1893 is digitized here in its entirety.
