The Bendix RGA-1 was specifically designed and marketed to enable accurate determination of the total pressure of a vacuum chamber and the partial pressure of each residual gas component present. The RGA-1 was designed for use with the MA-1 Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer (TOFMS), the flagship analytical instrument of the Bendix Corporation.
