Letter from Andrea H. Ciminello to John C. Haas (1918-2011) about an upcoming visit to Vassar College and the E. Phoebe Waterman Haas Telescope, named after his mother, Phoebe Waterman Haas (1882-1967).

Phoebe Waterman Haas was one of the first American women to earn her doctorate in astronomy in 1913. She completed her undergraduate degree at Vassar College in 1904.
