Black and white portrait of Gustav Heinrich Wiedemann (1826-1899). Wiedemann was a German physicist, scientific author, and professor. In 1877, he became the editor of Annalen der Physik und Chemie (Annals of Physics and Chemistry), one of the oldest scientific journals on physics. His research was specialized in thermal conductivity, electrical endosmosis, and the electrical resistance of electrolytes.
