After a break of several pages, there are thirty-two pages of handwritten formulary containing pharmaceutical recipes and household tips, including some on dyes and dyeing.
Ronne's writings reveal that he worked in gold smelts and brass analyses and also taught French. Most of book remains blank. suggesting that he only used the book for a few months and then discarded it. One page of the notebook written in pencil and headed "Mar. 14" is in a different hand and records measurements for a man's suit, suggesting that a book was in someone else's hands at one point.
