A wooden model of a standing wheelchair with a figure. The model is constructed of three pieces: two sides of the wheelchair, and one figure. The model was built by Morris A. Robbins, M.D. (1916-2004), an orthopedic surgeon who practiced medicine in New Jersey for more than half a century. Robbins suffered an accident as a teenager, an event that resulted in the amputation of his left hand and permanent limitations for his right hand.
