Auf Ihr Schreiben vom 24. d. Mts. übersende ich Ihnen in der Anlage den von dem Polizeipräsidenten in Berlin ausgestellten Heimatschein mit der Bitte, diesen an die dafür vorgesehene Stelle zu unterschreiben.
Wegen der Verlaengerung Ihrer amerikanischen Aufenthaltsgenehmigung haetten Sie sich an den “Commissioner of Immigration”– Ellis Island, New York Harbor, New York zu wenden, sofern Sie ueber New York in die Vereinigten Staaten eingereist sind, was ich annehme.
In der Anlage uebersende ich Ihnen noch ein Meldeblatt mit der Bitte um Ausfuellung und Ruecksendung.

In reference to your letter from April 24th, I am sending you your residence certificate issued by the police chief in Berlin with the request that you sign it in the space provided.
You would need to contact the “Commissioner of Immigration” in Ellis Island, New York Harbor, New York for an extension of your American residence permit if you entered the United States via New York, which I assume.
Enclosed, I am sending you a registration form with the request that you fill it out and send it back.
