1949, semi-postal stamp from Belgium featuring Periwinkle (Vinca). Periwinkle is known for producing alkaloids like vincristine and vinblastine. These compounds are potent anticancer agents used in chemotherapy for leukemia, lymphoma, and various tumors. Traditionally, it has also been used for diabetes, hypertension, and wound healing.

This stamp was issued in a series to fund the anti-tuberculosis movement, indicated by the Red Cross (specifically the Lorraine cross) in the top left corner.
