Max Bodenstein was a German physical chemist who studied chemical kinetics. In 1888 Bodenstein began his studies at the University of Heidelberg, earning his Ph.D. in 1893 after his work with Victor Meyer (1848-1897). From 1900-to 1906 he lectured at the University of Leipzig.
