Lieber Freund!
Viel Glück im neuen Jahre wünscht Dir Dein Lieber Svante A.

Dear Friend,
I greatly appreciate your kind wishes for the New Year. May you achieve happiness and success in the beautiful city on the Neckar River! I'm still not finished with the odd field of physics. Beforehand, I must spend all of my “free” time on this book. I also hope to complete the manuscript by the end of March, so that I only have to worry about corrections afterwards. Then I'll pretty much return to the old freedom of my youth. In the summer, I will resume my work with serum therapy. My work on the Nobel Committee work is under way and is very fulfilling. The semester ends on May 31st. In the autumn, I hope to work with physical chemistry again, which will be very enjoyable. In spring, I hope to work on a little project. My health has also improved greatly. I wish you much luck in the New Year! Yours, Svante A.
