XI. verabschiedete ich mich von Ihrem Herrn Vater; er bat mich auch Sie besonders zu bitten um schleunigste Beschaffung eines Affidavits für Ihren Schwager, damit er aus Dachau kommt. Und natürlich auch fuer Ihre Schwester und die Kinder und nicht zu vergessen last not least für Ihren Vater. Das Leben ist ihm erträglich geworden. Sie wissen aus Ihren Zeitungen wahrscheinlich mehr als ich. Ich komme im Januar mit Familie nach N. York.

Dear Dr. Bredig,
On November 26th, I bid farewell to your father. He also requested that I ask you to obtain an affidavit from your brother-in-law as soon as possible so that he can leave Dachau. The same goes for your sister, the children, and last but not least, for your father. Life has become more bearable for him. You probably know more about the situation from your newspapers than I do. I will be traveling to New York with my family in January.
